After raising 5 children, surviving aggressive cancer and just generally letting life get in the way of her own goals Robbi returned to painting in 2020 and set up a studio under the carport. In that year she was a finalist in The 66th Blake Award. In 2022 she was a finalist in the Ravenswood Emerging Art Prize and short listed in the Lethbridge Small Scale Art Award and the Lethbridge Landscape Award. In 2024 she was a finalist in the Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing, in 2026 she was a finalist in The Doyles and The Lester and again shortlisted in the Lethbridge.
